Around the World in Eighty Days — Chapter 31 in Spanish

By Jules Verne

Phileas Fogg estaba veinticuatro horas atrasado, y Picaporte, causa involuntaria de esta tardanza, estaba desesperado. Phileas Fogg found himself twenty hours behind time. Passepartout, the involuntary cause of this delay, was desperate. Había arruinado indudablemente a su amo. He had ruined his master!
En aquel momento, el inspector se acercó a mister Fogg, y mirándole bien enfrente, le preguntó: At this moment the detective approached Mr. Fogg, and, looking him intently in the face, said,—
-Con formalidad, señor Fogg; ¿tenéis prisa? "Seriously, sir, are you in great haste?"
- Con mucha formalidad- respondió Phileas Fogg. -Insisto- repuso Fix. "I have a purpose in asking," resumed Fix. ¿Tenéis verdadero interés en estar en Nueva York el 11, antes de las nueve de la noche, hora de salida del vapor de Liverpool? "Is it absolutely necessary that you should be in New York on the 11th, before nine o'clock in the evening, the time that the steamer leaves for Liverpool?"
