Passepartout descendit le premier du wagon, et fut suivi de Mr. Fogg, qui aida sa jeune compagne à mettre pied sur le quai. The train entered the station, and Passepartout jumping out first, was followed by Mr. Fogg, who assisted his fair companion to descend. Phileas Fogg comptait se rendre directement au paquebot de Hong-Kong, afin d’y installer confortablement Mrs. Phileas Fogg intended to proceed at once to the Hong Kong steamer, in order to get Aouda comfortably settled for the voyage. Aouda, qu’il ne voulait pas quitter, tant qu’elle serait en ce pays si dangereux pour elle. He was unwilling to leave her while they were still on dangerous ground.
Fogg allait sortir de la gare, un policeman s’approcha de lui et dit : « Monsieur Phileas Fogg ? Just as he was leaving the station a policeman came up to him, and said, "Mr. Phileas Fogg?"
