Si scorsero infine le coste di Francia. At length they sighted the coast of France.
«Vi prego, Signor Martino,» disse Candido, «siete mai stato in Francia?» “Pray, Mr. Martin,” said Candide, “have you ever been in France?”
«Sì, Signore,» disse Martino, «sono stato in diverse province di quel regno. “Yes, Sir,” said Martin, “I have been in several provinces of that kingdom.
